The importance of cyber intelligence to support military operations in the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF)

This research focuses on Malaysia's experiences as it examined the effects of cyberwarfare on national security. Since it posed a threat to Malaysia's national security, cyber warfare has become a major issue. The study's goals are to examine cyberwarfare-related problems that have impacted Malaysian system security and to identify the root causes of such problems. This study also highlights the importance of cyber intelligence in fulfilling the requirements and needs of Malaysian Armed Forces operations. Apart from that, it also helps to increase national security by urging the government to implement a comprehensive acquisition risk management plan. Any organization dealing with the problems and danger of future cyber warfare can benefit from its assistance in developing highly effective offensive and defensive strategies. This research also examined how Cyber Intelligence affected the development of military strategy, especially the Course of Action (COA) in any military action situations. The MAF will be helped in strengthening its capacity to use cyber intelligence information appropriately in future operations by the successes or failures of the three great nations in exploiting cyber intelligence. This is crucial since there are numerous information gaps in the current environment because it is challenging to predict potential threats, particularly in the context of cyber intelligence. But because this absence of intelligence has the potential to undermine military operations, attention must be paid to it. The enhancement of the Cyber Domain in the MAF is the study's ultimate goal. Cyber intelligence is a cyber- discipline that makes use of various information gathering and analysis techniques in order to give guidance and decision-making power to cyber commander and cyber operation units. Both cyber-attacks and cyber defenses depend heavily on this. In the cycle of a cyber operation, cyber intelligence is a crucial component.
