Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has compelled the use of online learning immediately. The study was conducted to investigate online learning platforms' influence on Cadet officers' academic performance. A quantitative method (questionnaires) supported by a qualitative method (interview) was used to collect the data. A total of 250 cadet officers of Akademi Latihan Ketenteraan (ALK) in Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) completed the questionnaires, and five cadet officers were involved in the interview sessions. Generally, the findings indicate that the respondents are aware of the use of online learning platforms. The study shows that online learning platforms influence cadet officers' academic performance. These findings are essential for future development and the implications of the use of online learning platforms are also discussed.
